How Fishing Works In Minecraft
First, you need a fishing rod. This can be crafted in your crafting table using string & sticks. Next, head to an open water pool. Make sure it is atleast 2 blocks deep, so we'd recommend a large river or lake.
Use your fishing rod to cast the rod in the water. The fishing time should be no more than 10-20 seconds before you see water rippling towards the round and a sound to indicate when to reel it in. Watch as the fish comes hurtling towards you!
Is Fishing In Minecraft Worth It?
If you want to play casually and are in the earlier stages of the game, fishing can be very helpful. It is an easy way to get a steady supply of food which is vital for your survival. On fishing Minecraft servers, there are all kinds of perks and bonuses which can make it more than worth your while.
Why Do Minecraft Fish Sink?
Some Minecraft physics tend to follow those from the real world. Just like how sand and gravel falls if there is nothing below, fish can sink into the water. In the real world, most fish sink at the bottom too.
