The Future Of Factions
The Factions gamemode has been a part of The Archon since it was founded in 2013, and has been a popular gamemode to thousands of players who love the intense, fast-paced environment. Factions is home to so many witty and funny characters and there is just nothing that quite compares to it in Minecraft.
The time has come for us to scale back the Factions servers we offer here on TheArchon as the gamemode just hasn't been as popular after recent changes in Minecraft. We will be reducing the Factions realms from 3 down to 1 so, unfortunately, we'll be saying goodbye to Amber and Ruby.
What Happens Now?
All existing redeem balance for Factions has been reset, and all Factions ranks you owned on both Amber and Ruby have been transferred over to Onyx. Any duplicate or leftover ranks will be put into our new /redeem system that will allow you to buy a rank on any realm on TheArchon.
Faction's seasonal ranks from both Amber and Ruby have been transferred over to Onyx. Any duplicates are placed into your /redeem to be redeemed on any other server within TheArchon.
If you owned any of the following permissions on either Amber or Ruby they have been transferred over to Onyx and are ready and waiting for you.
- Any /kit you owned
- Any /gkit you owned
- Any Disguise you owned
- Any /tags you owned
- /nofall
- /fix all & /fix hand
- /near
- <3 Emote in chat
Onyx Going Forward
For future onyx maps, we plan on having maps of various lengths ranging from maps as short as 5 days up to a couple of weeks. For the exact details of these maps please check out release posts closer to the time.
During the downtime between maps, we will be hosting various minigames and challenges for players to compete in. The winners of these will be awarded their prizes when the next Onyx map releases. These are a perfect opportunity to get a headstart over your opponents. Details of these competitions will be announced in Onyx reset posts.
