Factions: Onyx Christmas Map

Greetings everyone, the Christmas Factions Onyx Map is here!

Realm Information

The next festive Onyx map will release on Friday December 16th @ 3:00 PM EST / 6:00 AM AEST / 8:00 PM GMT.

The map will last 8 days which means there will only be 1 payout that will be issued at the end of the map on Saturday 24th December @ 5PM EST.

• 8-day map – 3 days of Grace & 5 days of TNT
• 20 man factions
• 2-second cannoning for bases (Including Raid Event & Raiding Outpost) and 3 second countering
• 15 Chunk Buffers
• Faction Shields last 14 hours
• 250 Power per player
• Unlimited Roster Size, unlimited kicks per day, max of unlimited at one time
• Faction Shields are set on Monday @ 5:00 PM EST
• Mining Spawner costs change from being free to costing 60% of their shop price on Monday @ 3:00 AM EST
• TNT drop rates changed from Grace drop rates (50%) to Raiding drop rates (100%) on Monday @ 3:00 AM EST
• Faction Shields are disabled from 12 PM - 5 PM EST on Payout Days
• 8 grinding areas of 18 Silverfish Spawners in the Mycelium World (Reached & Exited via the End Portal)
• Account Sharing Allowed
• No Regens
• Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mycelium, and Spawner Economy
• The economy sheet can be found here
• Limited Custom Enchants
• Bow Boosting Disabled
• $1,125 F-Top - $675 PayPal & $450 Buycraft
• 5 custom worlds along with the overworld with a border of 2500 x 2500 giving 24 corners – The End, The Nether, RedWorld, GreyWorld, and ClayWorld
• During grace, TNT & Creeper Eggs will be disabled
• During the first 30 minutes of the map, Faction Fly will be disabled

Faction-Top Payouts

As usual, the first 3 days of grace period will have no payout. Here are the prizes for the payout placings:

• First Place: $600 Paypal & $150 Buycraft
• Second Place: $50 PayPal & $100 Buycraft
• Third Place: $25 PayPal & $75 Buycraft
• Fourth Place: $75 Buycraft
• Fifth Place: $50 Buycraft

Note: FTOP will be paid out once per week that raiding is enabled. The amounts listed above are the total amounts we are giving away to the winners.

How do we get our payout if we win?

1. Set your PayPal email on the server with the command: /paypal [email]
2. Set your Buycraft email on the server with the command: /giftcard [email]

It's the most wonderful time of the year, and Onyx's Christmas spawn reflects these festivities!

Christmas Changes

To celebrate the special Onyx Christmas Map, for this map only, everyone will receive a rank equivalent to top rank and a kit containing Protection 6, Unbreaking 6 armor.

To ensure that alt accounts are not used to obtain a large quantity of P6,U6 armor sets, players will be required to complete a small number of challenges in the /ArchonPass to obtain the rank and kit.

All of the normal ranks, tags, disguises, monthly kits and custom ranks/kits will still be available to those that already have them, purchase them or obtain them in-game.

Map Rule Changes

The upcoming Christmas Map on Onyx is a special one, and so for this map there will be a number of rule changes to ensure this festive season is a fair one! Be sure to read over and stay up-to-date on all rule changes so you don't accidentally get caught out. You can view the rules page here.

• Rule 28 - You will be allowed a 1 chunk source block ocean per side of your base as shown on our rule page. Water bucketing will be allowed to any extent.
• Rule 24 - The minimum base size will be 3x3 chunks, and the maximum base size 6x6 chunks.
• Rule 10 - We will be increasing the amount of faction bans needed for a strike from 3 to 4 due to the faction size increase.
• Rule 33 - Pre-sides will be disallowed.
• Rule 15 - The time to printer patch or use Gen Buckets at a box where TNT has been shot has been reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes (this does not include bases).
• Rule 37 - Left and right shooting will be disallowed.

Additional Information

Last but not least, here is some miscellaneous information:

• We will be running a Mining, Woodcutting, Fishing alongside Mycelium (Silverfish) economy.
• Faction sizes have been increased significantly to 20 players.
• As a result, power per player will be decreased to 250.
• Faction shields have been decreased to 14 hours.
• Wilderness fly, Printable Gens, Infinite Obsidian, and bow-boosting will all be disabled for this map.
• Mob Battles will temporarily be disabled in /arcade.
• We will be removing the 15% damage reduction from the Faction claims mission, and will be buffing damage overall.
• The following custom enchantments: Infected, Health Boost, Evade, Thunderous, Vampire, Antitank, and Reborn will be temporarily disabled for this map.
