Factions: Onyx Reset

Greetings everyone, the newest season of Factions Onyx is here!

Realm Information

The next Onyx map will release on Saturday August 7th @ 3:00 PM EST / 7:00 AM AEST / 8:00 PM BST.

The map will only last 8 days which means there will only be 1 payout which will be issued at the end of the map on Sunday 15th August @ 5PM EST.

• 8 day maps – 3 days of grace & 5 days of TNT
• 20 man factions
• 2 second cannons for bases (Including Raid Event & Raiding Outpost) and 3 second cannons elsewhere
• 20 Chunk Buffers
• Faction Shields last 14 hours
• 250 Power per player
• Unlimited Roster Size, unlimited kicks per day, max of an unlimited amount at one time
• F Roster kick limits enabled on Sunday @ 3:00AM EST
• Faction Shields are set on Tuesday @ 3:00AM EST
• Mining Spawner costs change from being free to costing 40% of their shop price on Tuesday @ 3:00AM EST
• TNT drop rates changed from Grace drop rates (50%) to Raiding drop rates (100%) on Tuesday @ 3:00AM EST
• Faction Shields are disabled from 12PM-5PM EST on Payout Days
• 8 grinding areas of 18 Silverfish Spawners in the Mycelium World (Reached & Exited via a End Portal)
• Account Sharing Allowed
• No Regens
• Sugarcane, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mycelium and Spawner Economy
• The ECO sheet can be found here
• Limited Custom Enchants & Bow Boosting disabled
• $1,600 F-Top - $1000 Paypal & $600 Buycraft
• 9 custom worlds along with the overworld with a border of 2500 x 2500 giving 40 corners – These can be reached with the warp names: End, Nether, RedWorld, GreyWorld, ClayWorld, SunWorld, DarkWorld, CherryWorld & CrystalWorld
• During grace, TNT & Creeper Eggs will be disabled
• During the first 30 minutes of the map, Faction Fly will be disabled

Faction-Top Payouts

For this season of Onyx, payouts will be issued at the end of the season. Here are the prizes for the payout placings:

• First Place: $1000 Paypal & $250 Buycraft
• Second Place: $150 Buycraft
• Third Place: $100 Buycraft
• Fourth Place: $50 Buycraft
• Fifth Place: $50 Buycraft

Note: FTOP will be paid out once per week that raiding is enabled. The amounts listed above are the total amounts we are giving away to the winners.

How do we get our payout if we win?

1. Set your PayPal email on the server with the command: /paypal [email]
2. Set your Buycraft email on the server with the command: /giftcard [email]

New Spawn

With a brand new season of Factions Onyx comes a brand new spawn! Check it out below:

Economy Changes

• This map of Onyx will be another Sugarcane, Fishing, Woodcutting alongside Silverfish (Mycelium) economy.
• As a result of the change in Faction and Roster size, Sugarcane’s sell price will be decreased from $40 to $20.
• As well as this, Netherstar’s sell price will be decreased from $15,000 to $10,000.
• The price to sell fish will also be decreased to match Sugarcane in the Safe Lake.
• The sell price of Wood Logs will be decreased from $1,300 to $475. The buy price of Wood Logs have also been decreased as a result.
• The amount of money provided from holding the Raiding Outpost for 30 minutes will be increased to $180,000,000 during Grace and $90,000,000 during Raiding.
• The amount of grinding areas for Silverfish in the Mycelium World will be increased to 8.
• We will be changing the rewards for the Raiding Outpost as a result of the faction and roster size changes.

Raid Changes

• We will be changing the cannon speed to 2 second cannoning when shooting at bases (Including Raid Event & Raiding Outpost) and 3 second cannoning elsewhere.
• We will be increasing the chunk buffer size to 20 chunks.
• However, if the Admin Team believes that a change is needed to help promote raiding, at 5PM EST on Friday, the chunk buffer will be reduced to 15 chunks. This decision will be announced in the Leaders Discord so ensure your Leaders are in this Discord. An Admin can help WorldEdit these additional chunks out for you and unclaim the land.
• We will be decreasing the length of Faction Shield to 14 hours.
• We will be allowing a 1 chunk source block ocean per side on our rule page.
• However, if the Admin Team believes that a change is needed to help promote raiding, at 5PM EST on Wednesday, source block oceans of any size per side will not be allowed. This decision will be announced in the Leaders Discord so ensure your Leaders are in this Discord. An Admin can help WorldEdit the oceans out for you and replace them with walls.
• We will be allowing Left and Right Shooting on bases only, as shown on our rule page.
• Phase 2 of Lockdown which lasts for 20 minutes, will be completely skipped for the Raiding Outpost resulting in the length of a lockdown lasting 15 minutes in total.
• /f lockdown will show information on phase 1 for maps where Notification Chunks are enabled and set to 1 second delay.
• Creeper eggs will not blow up other Creeper eggs when they explode.

Additional Changes

• For this upcoming Onyx map, everyone will receive a rank equivalent to the Duke Rank which includes the /fixhand command.
• To ensure alts are not used to obtain this rank, you will be required to complete some small challenges in the /pass to obtain the rank.
• Normal ranks, tags, disguises, monthly kits and custom ranks/kits will still be available to those that already have them, obtain them in-game, or decide to purchase them.
• We will be increasing the Faction sizes to 20.
• As a result, we will be decreasing the power per player to 250.
• The Faction Roster Size will be unlimited and there will be no limit on the number of kicks allowed.
• Due to the above, we will be allowing Account Sharing and therefore will not enable our plugin to limit the number of IPs allowed on an account in 24 hours.
• We will only be giving Faction Points to the players in the faction (This does not mean roster) at the end of the map.
• There will now be a 5 second grace period after you have been withered by a Bard where you will be unable to be withered again regardless of who it is from.
• We will allow the use of /reloadchunks in Printer which will reload the chunks nearby.
• Printer is now more accurate when printing in blocks.
• We will allow people to go into Printer even if they have armor on.
• When a player in Printer is hit, they will be forced out of Printer.
• We will be reducing the length of combat tag from 30 to 20 seconds.
• Sandy will be changed so that the money comes straight from the Faction money bank.
• We will be disabling trails when combat tagged.
• Water will no longer destroy levers.
• If you have died recently you won't be allowed to enter the Mycelium World, just like the Outpost World.
• You can no longer use Switcher Balls when disguised.
