Factions: Onyx Reset

Greetings everyone, the newest season of Factions Onyx is here!

Realm Information

The next Onyx map will release on Saturday August 21st @ 3:00 PM EST / 7:00 AM AEST / 8:00 PM BST.

The map will only last 8 days which means there will only be 1 payout which will be issued at the end of the map on Sunday 29th August @ 5PM EST.

• 8 day maps – 3 days of grace & 5 days of TNT
• 5 man factions
• 3 second cannoning everywhere
• 15 Chunk Buffers
• Faction Shields last 18 hours
• 900 Power per player
• 10 Size, 1 kick per day, max of 1 at any time
• F Roster kick limits enabled on Sunday @ 3:00AM EST
• Faction Shields are set on Tuesday @ 3:00AM EST
• Mining Spawner costs change from being free to costing 40% of their shop price on Tuesday @ 3:00AM EST
• TNT drop rates changed from Grace drop rates (50%) to Raiding drop rates (100%) on Tuesday @ 3:00AM EST
• Faction Shields are disabled from 12PM-5PM EST on Payout Days
• 5 grinding areas of 18 Silverfish Spawners in the Mycelium World (Reached & Exited via a End Portal)
• Account Sharing Disallowed
• No Regens
• Sugarcane, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mycelium and Spawner Economy
• The ECO sheet can be found here
• Limited Custom Enchants & Bow Boosting disabled
• $1,600 F-Top - $1000 Paypal & $600 Buycraft
• 9 custom worlds along with the overworld with a border of 2500 x 2500 giving 40 corners – These can be reached with the warp names: End, Nether, RedWorld, GreyWorld, ClayWorld, SunWorld, DarkWorld, CherryWorld & CrystalWorld
• During grace, TNT & Creeper Eggs will be disabled
• During the first 30 minutes of the map, Faction Fly will be disabled

Faction-Top Payouts

For this season of Onyx, payouts will be issued at the end of the season. Here are the prizes for the payout placings:

• First Place: $500 PayPal & $250 Buycraft
• Second Place: $200 PayPal & $150 Buycraft
• Third Place: $100 PayPal & $100 Buycraft
• Fourth Place: $50 Buycraft
• Fifth Place: $50 Buycraft

Note: FTOP will be paid out once per week that raiding is enabled. The amounts listed above are the total amounts we are giving away to the winners.

How do we get our payout if we win?

1. Set your PayPal email on the server with the command: /paypal [email]
2. Set your Buycraft email on the server with the command: /giftcard [email]

New Spawn

With a brand new season of Factions Onyx comes a brand new spawn! Check it out below:

Economy Changes

• This map of Onyx will be another Sugarcane, Fishing, Woodcutting alongside Silverfish (Mycelium) economy.
• As a result of the change in Faction and Roster size, Sugarcane’s sell price will be increased from $20 to $32.
• As well as this, Netherstar’s sell price will be increased from $10,000 to $15,000.
• The price to sell fish will also be increased to match Sugarcane in the Safe Lake.
• The sell price of Wood Logs will be increased from $475 to $750. The buy price of Wood Logs have also been increased as a result.
• The amount of money provided from holding the Raiding Outpost for 30 minutes will be increased to $130,000,000 during Grace and $65,000,000 during Raiding.
• The amount of grinding areas for Silverfish in the Mycelium World will be decreased to 5.
• We will be changing the rewards for the Raiding Outpost as a result of the faction and roster size changes.
• In an effort to prevent factions mining their spawners, the amount of spawner drops will be increased 1.5x along with the sell price of Blaze Rods increasing to $75 per blaze rod.

Raid Changes

• We will be changing the cannon speed to 3 second cannoning everywhere.
• The chunk buffer size is now 15 chunks.
• We will not be allowing any sized source block ocean per side on our rule page.
• The length of Faction Shields has been increased to 18 hours.
• We will be disallowing Left & Right Shooting on bases as well as in other scenarios on our rule page.
• There is a new rule stating you cannot counter any cannon box from behind (commonly referred to as back countering) on our rule page. (Please view the rule for more information)
• We have decreased the amount of walls allowed on a cannon box to 24 walls unless it is a cannon box within your base buffer (in which case it’s the same limit as before).
• We will be changing our spawner leveling system to instead take 24 hours to upgrade 10% until it reaches 40%, where it will then take 2 hours to upgrade 10% until the maximum spawner value (of 100%) is reached - resulting in it taking 4.5 days to max out spawner value.

Additional Changes

• We will be decreasing the faction sizes to 5.
• As a result, we will be increasing the power per player to 900.
• The Faction Roster Size will be reduced to 10 with 1 roster kick given each day with a maximum of 1 at any one time.
• We are disallowing Account Sharing and therefore will enable our plugin to limit the number of IPs allowed on an account in 24 hours.
• Faction Points will be given to the players in the faction roster at the end of the map.
• We will be decreasing the number of bans resulting in a strike to 2 on our rule page.
• For the Raid Event, if multiple factions have the same /F Top value then the order of these factions will be determined by who has more Potential Top value.
• The Reduce Damage Faction Missions will be nerfed to only provide a maximum of 15% less damage in your own faction land.
