Outlands 1x Reset
Hello everyone! Today we are happy to announce that on Saturday June 20th 2PM EST / 4:00 AM AEST / 7:00 PM BST TheArchon will be resetting the Outlands 1X gamemode!
We'd like to thank you all again for your constant support for the Outlands realms, we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback and suggestions to help improve the gamemode. Without further ado, let's get into the reset content!
New Ranking System
Introducing our new ranking system that will replace the current clan points system. All clan leaders will now be able to “associate” one tool cupboard to their clan. When associating the tool cupboard, the clan leader will have access to a new feature called the Warehouse. Clan leaders can access the Warehouse by opening the TC gui and clicking on the enderchest icon.
Players who are added to this cupboard will be able to store gathered resources in the Warehouse. Each resource will be converted into a certain amount of points that will go towards the Clan that is associated to that Warehouse. An example of how many points per resource are:
x1 iron ingot = 5 points
x1 coal = 1 point
Therefore, if I have 1 iron ingot and 1 coal stored, my clan will get +6 clan points.
Warehouse Specifications
1- Resources can be removed from the warehouse, so if you decide to reinforce your base instead of store the resources in it, you can remove and use them to craft items.
2- To further encourage PvP, we've kept some of the ways you can get points from the old ranking system. If you kill a player from another clan, you will receive a certain amount of points that you'll take from their clan's warehouse - taking into consideration if their clan has sufficient clan points (resources) in their warehouse, if they don't you will not receive anything.
The resources will be automatically transferred from one warehouse (the player who died) to the other clan warehouse (the player who killed). We believe that this will also help new users to grind easily at the start of the game, as they can receive resources (to use in their bases) when killing others.
3- When raiding a Tool Cupboard that has an active warehouse (a clan associated to it), 40% of the resources inside the warehouse will be automatically transferred to the warehouse of the clan that raided it. This new ranking system will not reset weekly, so this feature will introduce a completely new way to defend and improve your base. Players will need to decide if they want to add resources to the warehouse or if they want to use those resources to upgrade their base, protecting them against raids. Good clans will know how to balance this.
Tool Cupboard Permissions
The tool cupboard has a brand new feature that will allow the cupboard leader to set separate permissions for each member that is added to it. The TC owner will be able to modify (enable/disable for each player) permissions to break blocks, place blocks and access the warehouse.
The TC owner can open the permission menu by clicking on the yellow head.
Map Terrain Fixes
We have found that there are a high number of clans that are using the terrain to make their base almost impossible to raid. As a result, the map terrain will now be changed in places that are already known to be a problem due to past bases being built there.
Planned Features for the Future
- New cargo vehicle with a 196 slots capacity (3 double chests) to store items - mainly resources, you can use it while going to collect resources at the caves or mid-biome.
- New events focused mainly on PvP.
- Melting weapons or equipment with rarity on a forge will give 2-10x more resources compared to common items - a new way to get resources for the warehouse.
- A new area with a boss that will have custom abilities & skills - and a pretty good reward.
- A special reward for the top 5 clans on the ranking table every week.
Free PvP Kit
During the next few days, any players on Outlands 1x will receive a PvP + Building kit for FREE as a thank you for playing on the server. This Kit will contain guns, equipment, blocks and also few C4 explosives, so be sure to join and have some fun practicing your building, raiding & PvP skills before the wipe! These kits will not be available after the wipe so use them while you can.
