Outlands 1X Reset

Hello everyone.

Today we are happy to announce that on Saturday May 23rd 2PM EST / 4:00 AM AEST / 7:00 PM BST TheArchon will be resetting the Outlands 1X gamemode and welcoming season 7!

This reset marks the 10th reset that we've done for the Outlands realms altogether, and the 7th for Outlands 1x! We'd like to thank you all again for your constant support for the Outlands realms, we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback and suggestions to help improve the gamemode as a whole. Without further ado, let's get into the reset content!

New Map

After a few weeks of hard work and constant tweaking to create this new map, we'll be adding it to Outlands 1x! We listened to all the player’s suggestions and this map will be a bit smaller than the last one, with the size now being 3,500 x 3,500 blocks.

We have created a special biome in the center of the map that will contain more resources than anywhere else, new titanium piles as well as being the new home to the Oil Rig! These map changes will allow players to travel to the OP loot areas without having to go extreme distances depending on what biome you're in.

New Map Cities

Our brand new map will also have cities that will be twice as big as any city that you've seen before now! Each biome will now have 2 of these large cities, with all the buildings being accessible so you can find loot inside them as well.

To balance out the addition of these new large cities, the radiation you receive from entering them will now affect you at a slower pace than before. This will allow you to have more time to explore and loot. As well as this, cities will now contain a higher amount of radioactive barrels.

New Weapons

It's been a while since we've added new weapons to Outlands, so this reset we're introducing two brand new guns to the server; a sniper called the VSS Vintorez and a machine gun called the M249.

They will be the rarest guns in the game as there is a small chance that you can get them from Supply Drops. These weapons won't have recipes, so can’t be crafted and can’t be obtained from radioactive barrels.

Retrieve unlocked recipes

We are considering this as one of the most important changes that we've implemented on Outlands so far, which we've added in hopes of balancing out how quickly players are able to progress after they unlock recipes for higher tiered items.

This new system will change what happens after you unlock a recipe. Now players will only be able to craft a certain amount of an item before the recipe becomes locked again. If you wish to craft an item again, you'll have to find that recipe and consume it. As a result of this, all recipes will have their drop chance increased from radiation barrels and supply drops. This change will not be applied on items that do not require recipes, i.e. Block T1, Bed, Furnace, etc.

StatTrak system

Introducing the StatTrak, a consumable item that can be used on guns that allows you to keep track of your statistics! This item will keep count of every kill that you get with this gun, storing this information in the gun lore for everyone to see!

Tier 2 Block Resistance

Based on the results we received from our survey analysis, Tier 2 Blocks will now be affected by Homemade explosives, but with some slight changes. If the Homemade explosive chance works, each Tier 2 block in that area will have a 50% chance to be exploded and then downgraded to a Tier 1 block. As a result of this change, the Tier 2 block creation cost will be decreased.

Raid Back Feature

With the next reset, a new feature will be added to help create a better incentive to raid clans after they've raided you. If a clan gets raided, they will have 24 hours to raid back the clan that raided them and receive 50% of the clan points instead of the usual 35%! Be sure to take care while raiding someone too strong, as they might want to raid you back!

Free PvP Kit

During the next few days, any players on Outlands 1x will receive a PvP + Building kit for FREE as a thank you for playing on the server. This Kit will contain guns, equipment, blocks and also few C4 explosives, so be sure to join and have some fun practicing your building, raiding & PvP skills before the wipe! These kits will not be available after the wipe so use them while you can.
