Outlands 1x Season 5

Hello everyone!

Today we are happy to announce that on Saturday March 28th 2PM EST, TheArchon will be resetting the Outlands 1X gamemode!

The release of Outlands 2X was a success! We were able to test every new feature that we implemented on it, being prepared to apply them on Outlands 1X, taking into consideration all the feedback that we have received during the last few weeks.

As part of our plan, both realms will now receive the same features & map, the only difference between them will be the resource gathering rate. This was made to prevent our devoted player base from splitting up due to features being different on either server.

Once again, we would like to thank you for all the support that Outlands has received since it’s first map, reminding you that we are always open to receive any kind of helpful feedback through our Discord.

The Map

As stated earlier, we'll be keeping the map the same for both Outlands realms. This map is the same size as the original Outlands server map, 4.500 x 4.500, however it has a variety of different biomes and terrains that you can explore.

Set up your base in the vast icy wasteland or luscious green open land, or trek all the way into the blisteringly hot deserts. There’s also an increased amount of islands on this map, so try to snag one up before someone else does!

15 Cities & 4 Caves

Cities have an important role in the Outlands gamemode. In cities players are able to collect barrels which could contain op items and discover new recipes, furthering their progress on the server.

The new map will contain 15 cities throughout it, you’ll be able to locate cities on the map as they will be marked with a red square. The 4 caves will be marked with a purple square.

New Features & Reworks

Stashes

Always wanted to hide your items in a place where no one can see them? Then these new Stashes were made for you!

Players will now be able to place Stashes inside blocks in the area around their tool cupboards. Once your Stash has been placed, you can right-click and hide items inside of them. Be careful though, as anyone can right-click a stash to reveal what is hidden inside, so be smart about where you hide yours!

Each stash will contain 9 slots to store items in and will be obtainable from Supply Drops and on our server store.

The Market

The Market has been reworked to make it easier and more efficient to use. Players will now be able to put up items on the /market that they wish to trade for other items.

Any player looking to trade you for your listed item can send you an offer through The Market and all offers you’ll receive will appear in the *offers?* section. You’ll then be able to view all offers and deny any you dislike, then accept the one that you deem satisfactory.

The Season Pass

The Season Pass is now available to use, with it's store home to lots of valuable items that you can use in game such as blocks, defense items and tools. To gain points to use at the Season Store, you simply have to be online.

There is a maximum amount of Season points that you can gain, with the cap for it being at 10,000 points. To access the Season Pass, do /season or /pass

Barricades

We know that gun PvP is a very enjoyable and unique feature on Outlands that many people enjoy, but sometimes it’s hard to fight other players as there are few ways to protect yourself and fights are usually over quickly. As a result, many of you have asked about introducing a feature where you can place temporary barricades on the map.

Introducing Barricades! These items can be obtained in rank kits, through crafting, in airdrops or radiation barrels. Each barricade lasts for 10 minutes after being placed and can be destroyed by gunfire.

Recruitment

The Recruitment system was hardly used before the wipe, so we’ve made some changes to make it easier to use. The system will now send different alerts for users who do not have a clan or for clans that do not have many members - with an option to disable these alerts.

Clan leaders will also be able to add their Discords on the recruitment description area, making getting in touch with potential clan members that little bit easier. To access the system, do /recruitment.

Signs

You asked and we listened! We're now adding signs for you all to use. To be able to use signs, shift-left-click on a chest to create a sign in front of it.

Use them on chests to remind you where your items are stored, or confuse enemies into blowing up the wrong chests. Up to you!

Free PvP Kit

During the next few days, any players on Outlands 1x will receive a PvP + Building kit for FREE as a thank you for playing on the server. This Kit will contain guns, equipment, blocks and also few C4 explosives, so be sure to join and have some fun practicing your building, raiding & PvP skills before the wipe! These kits will not be available after the wipe so use them while you can.

A changelog containing several modifications/fixes will be posted in our #changelog channel on Discord - Stay tuned and be sure to invite your friends to play Outlands 1X on Saturday March 28th at 2 PM EST!
