Outlands 2X Reset

Hello everyone.

Today we are happy to announce that on Saturday May 9th 12PM EST / 2:00 AM AEST / 5:00 PM BST TheArchon will be resetting the Outlands 2X gamemode!

We'd like to thank you all again for your constant support for the Outlands realms, we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback and suggestions to help improve the gamemode. Without further ado, let's get into the reset content!

Crates Revamp & Orepiles Crate

We used the previous Outlands 1X season to introduce the new crate system and review all the players' feedback regarding the new drops.

As a result, the Recipes crate will now have 3 rewards, the Hydra crate received new items, and the Darius crate will contain new special items that are guaranteed every time. As well as this we will be introducing a new Orepiles crate to the game!

EXP Progress Curve

During the last few seasons we noticed that players were leveling up extremely fast and therefore getting to the end-game Insignias very quickly - This was not intended.

The progress curve for experience has been changed and now players will not be able to gain exp points from Orepiles.

Tierlock for Tier 4 & Tier 5 Blocks

If players are lucky enough to receive a recipe for tier 4 & 5 blocks, then they'll be able to protect their base very quickly, quite early on in the season. This makes raiding unfair early game so as a result, we've tierlocked tier 4 & 5 blocks.

Players will not be able to craft tier 4 blocks for the first 24 hours after the wipe, and tier 5 blocks will not be craftable for the first 48 hours after wipes. Tier 1, 2 and 3 blocks will remain unlocked, so you can craft them at any time.

This limit will only be applied while crafting those blocks, if you get the block items through Loot Barrels or the Hydra Protection Crate, you will still be able to place them in your base regardless of the tier lock time!

Tier 3 Tool Limit

We received a lot of feedback regarding the Tier 3 Tools and we decided to add a limit to the amount of uses per item. There will be 8,000 uses for Tier 3 Axes and Pickaxes, 750 uses for Chopping Axes and 1,000 uses for Tier 3 Swords.

Despite this new limit, players will be able to repair their tools with Repair Kits, just drag one above the Tier 3 Tool and the overall durability will be increased by 5%!

Turret & Anti-Aircraft Limits

Players will now be limited to how many turrets / anti-aircraft they can place depending on what level their tool cupboard is. The higher the tool cupboard level, the more turrets you can place, with the initial limit being 2 turrets and 1 anti-aircraft and the maximum being  20 turrets and 8 anti-aircraft.

Gun accuracy

We're slightly changing how shooting works while scoped and unscoped. Aiming your weapon by looking down the scope or iron sight will always be the most accurate way to shoot. Shooting whilst unscoped will decrease the shooting accuracy, that means that the bullet can end up firing to a different area regardless of where you are aiming.

Free PvP Kit

During the next few days, any players on Outlands 2x will receive a PvP + Building kit for FREE as a thank you for playing on the server. This Kit will contain guns, equipment, blocks and also few C4 explosives, so be sure to join and have some fun practicing your building, raiding & PvP skills before the wipe! These kits will not be available after the wipe so use them while you can.
