Outlands: 2X Realm

Hey everyone! We are very excited to make this big announcement today.

On Saturday March 14th at 1:00 PM EST, TheArchon will be launching a NEW REALM for the Outlands gamemode!

During the last couple of months, we’ve been working hard to add content, make fixes and fine tune the features we have on the Outlands server. Thanks to all the helpful feedback that we’ve received from our active player base, we’ve been able to sculpt a realm and gamemode that you all love and are very dedicated to.

As a result of this, we’ve had a high demand for another realm to be added, due to frequently hitting the maximum player capacity at peak times with, at certain points, up to 100 players waiting in the queue to join.

Introducing our brand new Outlands realm: Outlands 2X

This new Outlands realm will have a quicker pace to it as all resources that you can gather; wood, animal drops and ores, will be increased by 2x! On the weekends we will be hosting 3x gathering events so you can really get that clan base up and running or gather everything you need to create explosives and raid.

We value all the suggestions that we’ve obtained so far immensely. We know that Outlands is a highly competitive realm and many users simply do not have enough time to play the normal mode, losing the desire to play as they are constantly being invaded by other players when they’re offline due to not getting enough resources to protect themselves. Hopefully Outlands 2x is the realm for you!

Do not worry however, the original Outlands realm will still receive regular updates. Each realm will have alternating resets so that you can play both servers if you want to and not just commit to one.

New Features

New Map

This map is the same size as the original Outlands server map, 4.500 x 4.500, however it has a variety of different biomes and terrains that you can explore.

Set up your base in the vast icy wasteland or luscious green open land, or trek all the way into the blisteringly hot deserts. There’s also an increased amount of islands on this map, so try to snag one up before someone else does!

15 New Cities & 4 New Caves

Cities have an important role in the Outlands gamemode. In cities players are able to collect barrels which could contain op items and discover new recipes, furthering their progress on the server.

The new map will contain 15 new cities throughout it, you’ll be able to locate cities on the map as they will be marked with a red square. The 4 new caves will be marked with a purple square.

Barricades

We know that gun PvP is a very enjoyable and unique feature on Outlands that many people enjoy, but sometimes it’s hard to fight other players as there are few ways to protect yourself and fights are usually over quickly. As a result, many of you have asked about introducing a feature where you can place temporary barricades on the map.

Introducing Barricades! These items can be obtained in rank kits, through crafting, in airdrops or radiation barrels. Each barricade lasts for 10 minutes after being placed and can be destroyed by gunfire.

Trade Market

We’ve added a trade market system which will be implemented in the server when it is launched. Users will be able to create trade offers or search for published offers, allowing you to message the players to decide what if they want to trade or not.

Season Pass

All players will have access to the Free Season Pass system, with a Premium Season Pass being purchasable on our server store.

While being online and playing on the Outlands server, users will receive points that they can exchange for in-game items! Players who have access to the Premium Pass will also be able to store some points for upcoming seasons and can use them after resets, helping you start wipes with new items as a result of hard work and commitment.

Points can be maxed out, there will be a limit to how many you can have at one time. When you hit the limit you won’t be able to get more points until you spend them. Premium Pass members will be able to hold more points than Free Pass users.
