Prison Reset

The current season of Prison has come to an end and the realm will be resetting this Saturday April 23rd @ 2:00 PM EDT / 5:00 AM AEST / 7:00 PM BST.

In this upcoming season of Prison, we are making a large number of changes. This includes removing features that just weren't performing up to standard, and as a result, we added awesome new features and changed existing content. It's going to be a lengthy post, so grab your snack and get comfy!

Payouts

We have weekly payouts for Plot Top. The prizes are as follows:

• 1st: $200 Paypal‌‌
• 2nd: $50 Paypal, $90 Buycraft‌‌
• 3rd: $25 Paypal, $50 Buycraft‌‌
• 4th: $25 Buycraft‌‌
• 5th: $15 Buycraft

You can win prizes if you're in one of the top 3 places in Prestige Top. The payouts for Prestige Top are:

• 1st: $50 Paypal‌‌
• 2nd: $30 Buycraft‌‌
• 3rd: $20 Buycraft

Blocks Mined Payouts are as follows:

• 1st: $50 Paypal‌‌
• 2nd: $30 Buycraft‌‌
• 3rd: $20 Buycraft

You can view the current standings for Prestige Top and Block Mined by finding the NPCs at spawn.

Map Points

Each week, the top three teams will be given the following points:

• 1st Place - 3 Points
• 2nd Place - 2 Points
• 3rd Place - 1 Point

These will be manually given out after the payouts and strike reports for the week have been fully dealt with.

Players who are members of teams in the top 3 positions will have numbers next to their name in chat depending on what position they're in. Show off in chat that you're the best Prison player on the server!

Team Size

For the upcoming season of Prison, there will be a maximum of 5 players per team.

Custom Ore Removal

In this upcoming season of Prison, and for the foreseeable future, we will be saying goodbye to all Custom Ore related things. This includes Custom Ores themselves, as well as Custom Ore swords, pickaxes and shears.

Over the past few seasons, we've spent time trying to balance and find ways to rework Custom Ores to make them fit the general playstyle on Prison, and we found that it just didn't fit with what we envisioned for the realm.

We will be making a series of changes and introducing new features to compensate for the removal of Custom Ores, and with doing so we believe that it will be easier to balance it all thus creating a more fair experience for everyone.

Non-Disenchantable Pickaxes

With the removal of Uranium and Moonstone pickaxes, we wanted to find another way for players to have pickaxes with these special OP enchantments on them, so we've created 5 new non-disenchantable pickaxes.

The new pickaxes include enchantments that you will be familiar with, with the reintroduction of a discontinued enchantment:

• Upgrader Pickaxe - Upgrades blocks around you to better blocks.
  - Can only be found in the Freeworld
• Dimension Hopper Pickaxe - Takes you to a whole new dimension where you earn even more money.
  - Can only be found in Crates and /Archonpass
• JackHammer Pickaxe - Destroy whole layers of a mine at once.
  - Can only be found in the Toolbox
• Tunneler Pickaxe - Mines in a 3x3x3 area.
  - Can only be found in Candyland
• MineBreaker Pickaxe - reintroduced - breaks an entire mine when it procs, and gives you the blocks.
  - Can only be found in the Toolbox

These pickaxe enchantments will no longer be obtainable easily in book form, you can only get them on their designated pickaxes. This means that you won't be able to cross enchantments with each other unless you purchase a book from the reworked BlackMarket.

Dust-Base Blackmarket

Previously the Dust item was useless as it was only used to repair custom pickaxes, but now with the removal of custom items, Dust has been revamped and made into a purely grindable in-game currency.

Dust must be used to purchase items off of the BlackMarket - a 24/7 market that contains all 5 enchantments from the non disenchantable pickaxes. The only way to obtain books in-game is through the use of Dust. Access the BlackMarket via /blackmarket.

The way to obtain dust has been changed. You can obtain it in the following 2 ways:

1. Dimension Hopper has gained the addition of a new mineable block that contains Dust, and every time you mine this block you obtain a variety of Dust that will be added to your Dust Balance.
2. A new, rare, enchantment called “Dust Collector”, purchasable via the /tokenshop

Dust Currency Addition

With Dust being added as a currency for the BlackMarket, your Dust balance will be added to the scoreboard directly below the 'Token:' section. New commands have been added in-game, so read the list below:

• /paydust <player> <amount>
• /withdraw dust <amount>
• /dust bal
• /dust top

Candyland Updates

We've made some changes to Candyland to improve its functionality, this includes changing the overall shape, as well as which regions and prizes are available for players at certain levels.

Candyland is now a large, rectangular shape that is split into 8 regions. Each individual region is easy to see and navigate as all of the trees will be their own particular color.

The further you venture into Candyland, the higher the Prestige requirement is needed for you to harvest the trees. This means that higher prestige regions will give you better rewards than lower prestige regions. The regions will be as follows:

• Prestige 0 - Prestige 10
• Prestige 11 - Prestige 20
• Prestige 21 - Prestige 30
• Prestige 31 - Prestige 50
• Prestige 51 - Prestige 75
• Prestige 76 - Prestige 100
• Prestige 101 - Prestige 150
• Prestige 151 - Prestige 200

Each region listed above will have its own separate prize pool with different chances to gain prizes ranging from Tokens to the Tunneler Pickaxe - which is only available from Candyland prizes, you can't get it anywhere else!

Shear Changes

If you're not familiar with Candyland, shears must be used to harvest trees and find rewards. Any type of shear can be used in Candyland, this includes cheap, unenchanted ones, however, enchanted shears are definitely superior.

Shears can be purchased through the Shear Shop NPC in Candyland using money. You will be given Starter Shears in your Starter Kit upon entering the Prison realm for the first time, but, if you wish to use better efficiency shears, you must purchase them from the Shear Shop.

There will be 5 different shears in-game:

1. Starter Shears: No efficiency, vanilla and basic
2. Dull Shears: Efficiency II - costs $100B
3. Advanced Shears: Efficiency III - costs $1T
4. Sharpened Shears: Efficiency IV - costs $100T
5. State of Art Shears: Efficiency V - costs $1Q

These shears will have infinite durability, so you don't have to worry about them breaking. As well as this, they cannot be disenchanted and you will not be able to apply additional enchantments to them.

Shears will not be locked to any particular region in Candyland, so you can use them on any type of tree - prestige depending.

Fishing Removal

Custom Fishing and everything related to Custom Fishing is being removed from Prison. This includes rods, rod custom enchantments, Treasure Chests, and Festivals.

The reason for this change is because Fishing made it hard to have a stable Token economy, and it made early-game way too easy - this meant that people gained Tokens too quickly and became overpowered within the first few days of a season.

As a result of this, it'll make upgrading your pickaxe's custom enchantments a little bit harder to get, due to having to grind for longer than before, but that's the main point. You'll find that Void Backpacks will become more valuable too, as it was previously very easy to obtain them via Treasure Chests.

You'll be working hard to reach these OP items now, instead of essentially receiving them as handouts, making it more worth it in the long run.

To compensate for these changes, we buffed Candyland in the ways stated above, as well as introduced the new Mining Madness Event.

Mining Madness Event

This brand new event takes place every 6 hours, for 30 minutes at a time. During this time, all blocks mined by every online player are counted, and the top 5 players with the most raw blocks mined at the end will receive a prize!

1 Point = 1 block mined. In order to make this competition fair to everyone, we are only counting each raw block mined as 1 point. This means that blocks broken due to custom enchantments, candies, and bombs do not count as points.

The prizes for the top 5 players are as follows:

• 1st - 3 Toolboxes
• 2nd - 2 Toolboxes
• 3rd - 1 Toolbox
• 4th - 3 Epic Crate Keys
• 5th - 2 Epic Crate Keys

The Toolbox has a variety of items you can win from it, including the super rare Jackhammer and Minebreaker Pickaxes. This is the only place you can receive these pickaxes on Prison, so it's worth the grind!

Mine Block Changes

We're making changes to mines by updating the filler blocks, as these blocks have been the same for a while. It'll add a cool new look to the mines, as each Prestige mine will have its own color of Terracotta. These changes have been made to Terracotta only, not Quartz, Diamond, or Prismarine.

This change will also remove the domino effect that was abused and allowed competitive players to sell blocks for an increased amount of money. This means that you can now no longer sell Terracotta that you mined from the Prestige 1 mine, and sell it at a higher Prestige mine for increased money.

Smarty Party

You can now view which players have answered the most quiz questions correctly in the new /quiztop menu. As well as this, the top 3 players with the most correctly answered questions at the end of the season will receive a special tag!

The player placing in 1st place will be able to create a -ticket on The Archon Discord and design their own tag, places 2nd and 3rd will receive a pre-designed tag.

We have also updated all quiz questions to keep them relevant and correct, and keep players on their toes!

Pet Armor Change

This is a small change, but a highly requested one by many players on Prison. Pet Armor no longer uses pet heads as helmets and instead uses leather helmets to match the rest of the set.

Booster Crate

Introducing the brand new Booster Crate! When opening the crate, you'll win one of many Token or Sell boosters. Boosters can last from 10 to 20 minutes, and you can win bundles of multiple boosters at once!

Booster Crate keys are currently available to be won from Toolboxes and Monthly crates.

PvP Custom Enchantment Additions

With the removal of Custom Ore Swords, thus the removal of the special abilities that came with them, we will be taking 4 of the most popular abilities and making them into custom enchantments. Take a look:

• Blazer: Spawns in a Blaze - applies to Swords and Axes
• Teleporter: you receive an extra enderpearl when crouched for 2 seconds - applies to Leggings
• Web Spinner: Spawns a web under your opponent - applies to Swords and Axes
• Flamethower: Shoots 3 fireballs - applies to Swords
