Survival 1.18 Reset

Hey everyone! We are excited to announce that the Survival Realm is resetting very soon!

Realm Information

The new Survival map will be released this Saturday May 7th @ 1:00 PM EDT / 4:00 AM AEST / 6:00 PM BST.

Team Winners

As season 3 of Survival on The Archon comes to an end, the top /team players will once again receive an awesome unique tag as a reward for being the best of the best! The Top team will receive the S3 Winner, S3 Top and Penguin tags, and the top 3 teams will receive the S3 Top and Penguin tags. Take a look at the following limited tags:

PvP Changes

After some discussion, for this season of Survival, we've decided to disable PvP in the overworld/main world, which includes the Nether and End. In the past seasons, there were many cases of TP trapping and other abuses, so we hope that this change will help the server to become more user-friendly.

To compensate for this, we’ve added a brand new PvP arena for those players that still want to PvP! You can access it through /warp PVP. Check it out:

We hope that this removes some frustration when it comes to PvP and dying to combat in the overworld, and players who do wish to fight can still do so.

ArchonPass Revamp

While we're on the subject of change, we've taken the time to update the /ArchonPass /pass with all new challenges and rewards! You can earn pouches, boosters, crate keys, limited tags, elytras, cosmetic wings and more!

You can participate in the Archon Pass for free, and earn rewards by just playing the game! If you want to win double the rewards, then you can purchase the Premium Pass from the server store here.

MobStacking & Stacked Spawners

Spawners are a large part of life on the Survival Realm, so we want to optimize them the best that we can to prevent any lag issues, all while not making them impractical.

As a result of this, mobs will now stack together. This means that any mobs of the same variety that spawn in the same area will now stack into one mob. When you look at the mob, you'll see that there is a number above the mob's head, this means that is the number of mobs currently stacked. You'll still be able to kill and harvest mobs with your weapons, except it'll be easier as they'll all be in one place!

Additionally, you can now stack multiple spawners within 1 spawner. All you'll need to do is place your desired spawner, then click on that placed spawner whilst holding spawners in your hand. This helps tidy up spawner areas as they will no longer take up as much space. To remove spawners, mine the Stacked Spawner and you'll remove 1 spawner at a time.

Blood Moon Event

The sky turns dark, and everything goes eerily silent... there's static in the air that sends a tingle down your spine... the moon emerges from behind the clouds, red as fresh blood. Suddenly, a crash of lightning makes you jump out of your skin - you spot a shadowy figure in the distance that wasn't there before, and now know what it is you must do.

Introducing the Blood Moon event! This event takes place just outside of spawn, 3 times a day. A random boss will spawn and attack nearby players, your job is to defeat the boss and earn rewards! These all-powerful bosses

Be one of the top 5 players who have dealt the most damage to the boss and you'll receive crate keys!

There are a handful of different bosses that you can encounter, and these all-powerful beings have their own unique abilities, check them out:

• Scorpion Boss (spider): Stings nearby players with poison when it attacks.
• Inferno Boss (magma cube): Ignites a nearby player on fire when it attacks.
• Grim Reaper Boss (wither skeleton): Summons an army of Reapers to fight for it (skeletons).
• Invertebrate Boss (large slime): Freezes and blinds players when it attacks.
• Necromancer Boss (Illusioner): Launches players into the sky.

New Monuments

For the upcoming reset, we'll be adding 7 new Custom Monuments for you to explore! 3 of these Monuments were created by winners of a build competition that we hosted last year, so be sure to participate in future build competitions and we might add your build to the Survival Realm as well!

We're not giving you any ideas of what they look like, go out and explore to see them for yourselves!

Crates Revamp

We’ve taken some time to re-evaluate our current crates on Survival, and have updated some of the prizes that you can receive from them, as well as the percent chances for you to win them.

As well as this, we also added a brand new crate key, the Legendary Key! You could win yourself many different prizes, such as money, pouch bundles, blocks, EXP, Claim Blocks, and more!

New Custom Enchantments

Introducing 6 new custom enchantments that'll make your life on Survival so much better! These new enchantments will help you out with different activities that you need to complete in everyday life on Survival and are a must-have if you want those gains.

You'll be able to get these enchantments from Custom Monuments and natural structures, the /mobshop, and the Shady Dealer. Take a look:

• Cerberus:
  - Increases mob head drops
  - Applies to swords
  - Max level of 3
  
• Treasure Hunter:
  - Chance to find a key while mining ores
  - Applies to pickaxes
  - Max level of 3
  
• Mob Hunter:
  - Chance to get double Mob Tokens from killing a mob
  - Applies to swords
  - Max level of 4
  
• Glowing:
  - Gives the user a permanent glowing effect while wearing, purely cosmetic
  - Applies to all armor
  - Max level of 1
  
• Quiver:
  - Chance to return an arrow when you shoot
  - Applies to crossbows
  - Max level of 4
  
• Drill:
  - Faster deepslate mining
  - Applies to pickaxes
  - Max level of 4

New Furniture

Last season we added furniture that you can purchase to adorn and embellish your bases using Gems.

Gems are currently available to purchase from the server store. Once you've received your gems, simply head on over to the Gem Shop NPC at spawn with your gems and purchase any of the items that are in stock!

• Dining Table Dark
• Speaker
• Gaming PC
• Office Desk

We’ve also added a furniture starter kit. This is a kit that you can claim once and it contains a single bed and a stool. We hope that this kit encourages people to get to know the furniture more!

Please note that furniture is purely cosmetic and cannot be interacted with or used. This means chairs cannot be sat in, beds cannot be slept in etc.

Updated /Mobshop

We've updated the /Mobshop with some cool new items - Mission Re-roll, Multi-Use Rocket, Job EXP Booster, and Job Money Booster. Be sure to grind out those Mobcoins so you can spend them on these useful new items!

Additional Information

Last but not least, here are a number of miscellaneous changes:

• Added a /coords or /coordinates command that displays your coordinates and the direction you are facing in your action bar.
• You can now use the command /team manageclaim which will automatically open the claim management menu for the claim you are in, so that you don't have to search through all of your claims in the menu.
• Added a Void Mode to Filter Hoppers. This mode helps prevent lag and is an overall useful feature to have. Instead of the item going into a chest, it would void/destroy the item.
• We’ve updated the Job Boosters to be less overpowered.
• Updated the Advancement Rewards for the 1.17 and 1.18 advancements.
• Allowed players to enable/disable hurting certain mobs for team Monster and Animal Hurting.
• Updated Chat Quizzes to include a whole range of new questions!
• Updated all tags, from the Shady Dealer, MobShop, and more!
